29 Jul Bringing Body-Based Performance to Google DevWeek
This past summer, I designed and delivered a body-based performance program for Google’s DevWeek — a modular series equipping high-performing professionals with science-backed, body-based strategies to optimize their stress response, energy, and cognitive performance.
The goal: transform not just how these teams work, but how they feel while doing it.
I ran two separate workshops across Google’s US and EMEA/APAC teams: Power Rhythms and The Stress Reset.
Resilience Workshop: Power Rhythms
Most productivity strategies focus on time management, but real performance is about energy management.
This workshop teaches participants how to work with their body’s natural, internal rhythms — circadian, ultradian, and respiratory — to optimize focus, creativity, and endurance without burnout.
Stress Management Workshop: The Stress Reset
Why do animals recover from stress so quickly while humans remain stuck in chronic tension, despite having similar stress and relaxation systems?
This workshop explores the science of the stress response and equips participants with simple, effective tools to reset their nervous system in real time. Drawing from biology, neuroscience, and psychology, we uncover how movement, breath, and reframing stress can help us regain control, remove self-judgment, and build resilience.
The Results
Both sessions received the highest ratings of any program offered during DevWeek:
